Blessed are the Meek for they Will Inherit the Land - Humility Manifests Through Obedience to God

Humility manifests through obedience to God’s commands and decisions.

We all find ourselves, at times, in our spiritual walk, ruminating on possibilities instead of obeying God off the bat. We let our sins be a little sticky.

We don’t bat them away quickly.

We don't listen to the whisper of God because it sounds too challenging (on our own, yes, but not with God!)

We want to weigh possibilities for ourselves.

We want to test them, dwell on disobedience just a little, and see if it could actually be good for us. Be it through unforgiveness, cheating, lust, etc. It's all a choice to doubt that God will provide and a proud judgment that we can do better. Pride
wants to be the conductors of our lives, who knows when and how things will come, and judge them for our benefit.

But humility will manifest through instant obedience to God’s commands. Humility obeys the good without question. It will guard the mind and heart without question, without needing to understand evil before rejecting it. Without bringing into question one’s benefit, or social or material gain, humility jumps to do the right thing, without counting the cost.

A humble person is willing to suffer. And by this willingness, becomes free. The fear of pain will not be a limiting factor for the humble man or woman.

Instant and humble obedience doesn’t depend upon the imagination of the good but rather the humble trust that God is good. Humble obedience chooses to believe in God’s goodness, even if it can’t be seen here.

God's goodness is an infinite dominion, His "land." When we allow ourselves to be His Children, as done by following (obeying) His Commands, we inherit this land.
